Watercourse Maintenance/River Ouzel

An assessment on a section of damaged river bank in Mill End Close has been carried out which shows there are three areas within the bank where water is leaking into the drainage ditch. The cause of the leak is from crayfish burrowing into the riverbank and damaging the structure. Work is planned to be carried out on this section of the bank within the next six months (weather dependent), the first stage will be to clear the riverbank of overgrown trees and shrubbery, and a general tidy of the area. The second stage will be the actual repair to the river bank.

Once the Council has confirmed dates of work from the Drainage Board, notices will be put on parish notice boards, Facebook and Focus.

Burial/Cemetery Land

To all residents: within the parish there is a lack of available land for burials, the current land will be full/unavailable in a few years. The Council would like to gauge residents’ opinions on the Council spending money to purchase additional burial land, allowing parish burials to continue for many more years to come. Please write/email the Parish Clerk with your comments/views. Thank you.
