  • Motorcycle Track: The Planning Application was passed with conditions. For full details view the CBC website.
  • CBC Speed Limit Works: as part of CBC’s speed limit works, the installation of a 50mph speed limit buffer is being installed on Tring Road (Wellhead) south of Dunstable. The 50mph speed limit will replace the existing national speed limit leading from Dunstable and terminating by the Harling Road roundabout junction.

Ban On HGV Vehicles Over 7.5 Tonnes Through Parish

CBC has approved the plans put forward for restrictions to HGV's through Eaton Bray and Totternhoe. Awaiting confirmation from Bucks County Council for road signage at road entrance points.

Football Pitches

The Parish Council are in the process of putting together Agreements with EB Lions on their usage and contributions to maintenance costs of the parish recreation grounds/greens.

Car Parking Issues

It has been brought to the council’s attention that a number of cars are being parked in such a way to obstruct public footpath pedestrian access and opposite road junctions. Please note that it is an offence to park opposite a road junction and to block/obstruct the public footpath at any time.

Planning Application CB/14/04055/OUT
Land Off Totternhoe Rd, Eaton Bray/Outline Planning For 150 Dwellings

The Parish Council objected to the above planning application and sent their recommendations to Vicki Davies, Planning Officer, CBC. To view the council’s full response to the application please follow the link: ebpc.co.uk/letters/150109

The application has been called in to committee and the date for this meeting is to be confirmed. The Planning Application received a large number of objections and therefore due to the number of responses CBC has confirmed that they were still accepting letters up to 28th February 2015.

Elections

  • Parish Elections are to be held on Thursday 7th May 2015, if you wish to stand for Parish Councillor for Eaton Bray Parish Council then please contact the Parish Clerk for a nomination pack; the deadline for nomination papers to be sent to the Acting Returning Officer at Central Beds Council, Chicksands is Thursday 9th April 2015.
  • The General Election will take place on Thursday 7th May 2015. To vote in the election you must be on the electoral register. You can register online or by post, for further details go to: https://www.gov.uk/register-to-vote.

Neighbourhood Plan

The Parish Council is looking into the option of developing a local plan.
