  • Social Housing in parish – CBC are launching a consultation so that local residents can have their say on proposals to introduce a new ‘allocations scheme’ … to respond to this visit the CBC website or call 0300 300 4237. Residents can also contact Cllr. Mustoe direct for help/advice regarding upgrading/downgrading their property.
  • Heating Oil – the Bedfordshire Rural Community Charity (BRCC) are currently looking at developing oil-buying groups in rural Bedfordshire as heating oil users may be able to negotiate cheaper prices for oil tanks and heating equipment as part of a group. If you are interested in setting up an oil-buying group in your area you can contact Lisa King at BRCC on 01234 832643.

Crime report from 06/09/13 to 03/12/13.

ASB - There were 2 reported incidents of anti-social behaviour between the dates of 06/11/2013 and 03/12/2013. Classified as below:

  • A vehicle was reported as abandoned on BOWER LANE since 18/11/2013. This has been logged and the vehicle is not causing an obstruction.
  • A vehicle was reported as parking in-front of their neighbour’s garage. Officers attended and stated that there was no obstruction.

Raised Flower Beds

The Parish Council, together with the village improvement team (EBAT), has now placed raised flower beds around the village sign/notice board situated in Market Square. They are now planning to do the same around the Knights Close notice board.

Parish Council Precept

Due to the removal of the Council Tax Support funding from CBC and budget forecast for 2014/15 it was agreed to increase the parish precept from £65,000 to £70,000.

Monday 6th January 2014, 7.30pm, in the Coffee Tavern.
