Summary of Minutes - Monday 7th March 2011

Local Elections

The Parish Council Local Elections will be held on Thursday 5th May 2011.

Central Bedfordshire

Mobile Library: Concerns were raised with the reduction of the mobile library visits. Cllr Mustoe informed the Parish Council that a Library Link service is available; a facility available to those unable to get to main libraries.

Recreation Ground Improvements

The Parish Council have agreed on the new play equipment to be installed in School Lane play area

Allotments

The council looked at the option of increasing the rent for allotment plots within the parish.

The Parish Council agreed that there is a need to increase the current rental and that the increase will take effect for current allotment holders from 1st October 2011 (2011-2012 allotment year). Any new allotment holders will pay the increased rate with immediate effect.

Rubbish Bins

The Parish Council has agreed to two new bins being sited (i) Adjacent to skate park (ii) Entrance to Knights close. In addition, to have a bin relocated from the far corner of the School Lane Car Park to a more suitable location.

Monday 4th April 2011, 7.30pm, in the Coffee Tavern.
