Parish Magazine / Focus
The Parish Magazine that was to become Focus was first published in 1964 and sold for the princely sum of 6d.
The spiritual needs of the village were looked after by the Church, Methodist Chapel and Salvation Army who all had their own page.
The Parish Council kept us informed with a report of the monthly meetings, and coming events such as jumble sales and fetes were advertised.
The sports page was written by "SIMO". Sport was predominant in the village at the time with a first & second eleven in football and also a cricket team all of whom played at the Rye. Indoor sports featured mostly played at the Five Bells.
