AFC Dunstable U12 - 9

Eaton Bray Lions AFCSpirited runs from James Hurley and William Juster as well as strong second half link-ups between Sean Woodhouse, Adam Bradley, Charlie Nevitt, Aaron Gauntlett and MOM Chris McGee could not see Lions through to the third round of the league cup.

Fielding a team of nine, Dunstable were nonetheless able to break open the Lions defence, scoring four times in the first half and five more in the second.

Even so, pressure at the back line from Alex Poynter, Jake Draper, Aarin Johnson, Tom Horner and Mason Ashby, coupled with fine saves by Dan Kennell, fended off the aggressive Dunstable offence for long periods and when the goals came they were in quick succession.

Lions will be returning to their league fixtures next week under increasing pressure to secure their maiden win of the season.
