EB Lions U12 - 2
Bedford Park Rangers U12 - 2
Lions made a bright start in a closely contested battle, Sean Woodhouse breaking loose to volley in early for a goal that was ruled off side. Stand in keeper Jake Draper made short work of Bedford's subsequent counters but they were able to net after a smart run on goal.
Lions hit back immediately with another Sean Woodhouse strike, and clever defending by Chris McGee, Ben Roberts and Mason Ashby halted Bedford's key chances. Good link ups in midfield by Alex Poynter, Charlie Nevitt and Adam Bradley saw Lions retain possession for the majority of the half until a Dominic Ryan free kick almost secured the lead.
Going into the second one a piece, Lions eked out every chance, Will Juster and James Hurley putting in regular goal charges. A deft lob from Sean defeated the Bedford keeper for the lead but despite promising through balls from Tom Horner and Aaron Johnson and enterprising runs from Aaron Gauntlett, the visitors drew level in the dying minutes of play.
