Eaton Bray is to have a telephone kiosk at last.

Luton Rural District Council had promised the village a telephone kiosk in February 1955.

In 1956, the parish council was told that it was under construction. When the council again made enquiries to Luton RDC, the reply was: "Isn't it up yet?"
