Private Mark Rollings 33076 Bedfordshire Regiment

Mark was born in 1897 at Victoria Terrace Bower Lane to parents George Rollings a Hay and Straw Binder and Jane nee Horn from Northall Bucks.

Mark was one of eleven children and after attending school became a Farm Labourer.

His medal card shows that he enlisted in the Bedfordshire Regiment sometime after 1916 and was sent to France. He fought in the Battle of Ancre and the 2nd Battle of Arras. In May 1917 the Battalion were moved to Montenescourt and it is thought that Mark was wounded from Artillery fire.

On the 28th May 1917 Mark died from wounds.
