Private Albert Rollings 33078 8th Battalion Leicestershire Regiment

Albert was born in 1884 to Sarah Ann Rollings at the time believed to be living in Bedford Square Eaton Bray.

He was working as a Labourer in the hay trade in 1901 living in Moore End and an Agricultural Labourer in 1911 in Bower Lane.

Albert enlisted in the Bedfordshire Regiment number 6402. He was transferred to the Leicestershire Regiment.

Albert was killed in action on 21st March 1918 on the first day of the Spring Offensive at the Somme three months before what was left of the Battalion was sent home to England.
