Airport Expansion

Good afternoon All,
I felt I must post again about aircraft noise.. The large number of aircraft that fly over the village are from Heathrow. Myself and my family are not disturbed by all of them but enough to make it unpleasant. The airport is now in the process of expansion, more flights = more planes = more noise. If you are also disturbed by the aircraft there are methods of complaint. If anyone wishes to know more I will happily post details.

To be honest I can't say I have ever really noticed the aircraft noise.  The only aircraft noise I really notice is the light planes that tow the gliders up. I actually enjoy watching that.

It's something I've noticed since last summer.  Is it me or has it got worse since the clocks went forward this year? I hear aircraft literally every few minutes. Last night I heard 3 aircraft in the space of 5 minutes (windows were closed and TV was on)... it's getting ridiculous. Is there any point in complaining to Heathrow though, they're hardly going to change their flight paths?

Has anyone else noticed there has been quite a lot of low flying aircraft over the last week does anyone know why this is. They are waking me up.

Over the last year or so Heathrow have been trialling several options to the argument in favour of expansion. This has consisted of more flights, different routes etc. If you have complained then I how much of a difference it has made I don't know. However,I do know that it may have helped the arguement against expansion. Evening aircraft are usually ones landing at Luton. Luton Airport has successfully had evening redefined as 11 pm. So called evening flights must have arrived by then.
