Plane Silhoette (by jaroas, sxc.hu)Hello All, The Focus magazine for Aug/Sept printed a telephone number (01582 395382) for anyone wishing to complain about aircraft noise. I would like to point out there is also an complaint form at:
london-luton.co.uk/en/noisecomplaint/

I have noted a significant increase in aircraft over our village. If you have also please make use of the number or form. Thank you.

It definitely seems like there has been more aircraft noise this year, but I wonder how much is to do with atmospheric conditions making the noise travel further.

If you use an app like Plane Finder AR you see that most of the noise is coming from aircraft that are above 30,000ft. There have been a few planes flying directly over Eaton Bray at much lower levels but Luton Airport just say sorry they had to fly round bad weather when asked about them.

There are further comments on this topic on the Facebook post about aircraft noise over Eaton Bray.

Atmospheric conditions is something I did consider, can't believe there would be such a substantial increase in such short space of time.I am using Flightradar24 and have had several results from flights  to and from Luton and Heathrow I have been able to hear inside my home.

Visitors to our home commented this afternoon about the noise. I've had a very detailed reply from Luton and have now found that the noise is mainly coming from Heathrow flights.
