How nice it's been to be able to freely express a national pride during the Olympics and flying a union flag without the stigma of being accused of holding ultra right-wing and/or racist views. How sad then that our local church committee, unlike several others in the locality and beyond, couldn't bring itself to fly a union flag during this time. (That's my opinion, what's yours ?) . I can think of no better example of a nation and a community coming together. An opportunity lost and now back to our existence of enforced PC and our suppressed pride of being British. (ps: As per Sean Connery's recent comment on BBC Radio about Any Murray's victory, "stop calling him British, he's Scottish." Rather ironic, if not insulting, when old Sean made so much out of being a British Secret Agent then jetted off to live in America and Murray's done very well thank you playing in England). History says King Arthur will return again when our land is in dire peril. This surely can't be long off now !
