I think that the whole day went really well, and was run well, and everybody had a good time even the spectators, bmxing and skateboarding are growing sports, and i think it was nice to show the village community why we like to do what we do! i would really like this to become an anual event, for several reasons, everybody had a great time and the atmosphere was brilliant, also to get more young ones watching into the sport, but ontop of this, i believe the scouts made alot of money, and also several bikes were sold so it also did janes good and brought more people into the vilage

i would like to see on this forum, if anyone else agrees with this? and if we could get some names down for people who like the idea of it becoming an anual event

this would be great for a yearly event.also local shops benefit from the skatepark due to people like myself coming from outside the village just to skate there.

I'd just like to say what a wonderful day we had at the official Skate and Ride Opening on Saturday 24th April. We were blessed with great weather and the presence of some fantastic talent from our young people not to mention the attendance of Mayor Councillor Patricia Russell.  Wheelscape( provided free Tshirts and some great prizes for our winners)  our Judges and Professional Riders/Skateboarders,The Iron Saints( selling cool t-shirts) and DJ, 1st Totternhoe Scouts(provided us with lovely grub and drinks), The Ice Cream Van, Janes, The Police Community Support Officers and the very kind donation of a BMX bike .
Also very grateful thanks to Eaton Bray Parish Council who supported the installation of this facility.. Margaret and Edd Hawkes worked so hard with dedication and commitment as did everyone and we couldn't have done this without the support of the local young people who attended many meetings.  Last but certainly not least thankyou so much to our local residents who supported this project and took the time to listen to us even resulting in a letter to the local MP in support!
