My ancestor, Sarah Tabitha Empey was born in Bethnall Green, London in 1819. She subsequently married Joseph Norris in 1842.
Sarah's father was Joseph Empey who was born in Eaton Bray in about 1786. I believe that he died in 1826. I also suspect that his father was a Joseph and his mother also a Sarah.
Any information on these persons would be much appreciated.

Hi Malcolm
We don't have any familys by the name of Empey in the records that fit your request but we do have familys named Impey. It has happened in other inquiries that familys have changed a letter in their name to distance themselves from other members of their familys or it could be just a case of names being mis-transcribed.
Will post Impey that fits soon.
