We are trying to trace the family history of Henry Crawley. In  the 1881 Census he is living in Derby age 26 and the 'where born' entry says Bedfordshire, Eaton Bray.

Any help will be appreciated

Struggling a bit on Henry. Only thing I can find at the moment is a marriage to Ellen Eliza Charlesworth in Derby June 1878. Do you have any info on siblings please Leslie ?

1891 census has a Thomas Andrew Crawley born Eaton Bray c1854 Baker & Confectioner living in Litchurch Derby with Brother in Law Benjamin Warden and his wife Annie nee Charlesworth. Can't find either a birth or marriage record for Thomas who is down as married. Also living there are Thomas daughters Ellen 12 and Louisa 8. Only time I can find Thomas on census. Could be a brother to Henry or could be something else.

Thank you for replying to my enquiry.
Since writing we have received information from a descendant of Henry that he liked to be known as "Andrew". From there we have traced he and his wife Ellen living with his daughter Ellen (k/a Nellie)  in Liverpool. He died there in 1930. So the Thomas Andrew Born c.1854 in the 1891 Census is in fact "Henry" and Ellen (Nellie) and Louisa were his children.
The main purpose of the search was to try and confirm the connection between an Albert Crawley Born 1865  and Andrew (Henry) .He was said to be a second cousin so we thought he could possibly be a brother. After looking through many censuses (no luck with birth certificates) we have come up with what we think was the following family:
Father Thomas Crawley B.1814 Mother Louisa  1820. Children: Philip 1845,William 1847, Louisa (or Mary L) 1851,
Andrew T c.1853 ,Charles 1858,Emily 1860 and Albert 1865
Thomas was recorded as a farm labourer in 1861 , address Crabtree, Eaton Bray .He possibly later became a coal merchant .
If you or any of your colleagues have any further information to offer I would be most grateful.
