Is it possible to get a copy of a birth certificate for Abel Brinklow born 1812 in Eaton Bray, Bedford, Bedfordshire? If so, how do I do this?
I need to be sure of his parents names as Ancestry is giving me searching tips from other users but I'm not sure if they are correct.

Birth certs in Britain were first issued in 1837 so a bit after Abel. I think the only thing available to you would be a Baptism record.

Just checked Eaton Bray Parish Register 1559-1812 and found a Baptism on February 5th 1812 for Abel... son of Thomas and Mary Brinklow.

Marriage August 6th 1795 of Thomas Brinklow to Mary George. Both of Eaton Bray.

I have a book from Beds Records office of the Parish Register of Eaton Bray 1559-1812. Think I paid about £25 for it. It has Baptism Banns Weddings and Burials.
